Locals

Peers or anyone around you that follow everyone. They have black and white checkered vans, or roll with the crowd. They get starbucks often, and have basic instagram captions that everyone uses. For example one can be "Summer should get a speeding ticket" and they would have on their CHECKERED VANS and have starbucks on a beach doing a pose with friends at sunset. They also have no personality and just seem bland.

Stephanie: "Did you see Angela's new Instagram post with Britanny?"
Monica:"Yeah, their such locals."

Support your local

Phrase used by British football fans against people who do not live close to the vicinity of the location of the team that they support. Normally used as a way to gatekeep club support by implying fans who live locally are better supporters than foreign fans.

People who live in your city and/or country that hold traditional values and close minded opinions. Mostly right wing leaning and religious. The word started seeing use on Twitter after numerous Tunisians flooded the platform to support Palestine.
