cheerleaders r the shit! ppl who say that cheerleading is not a sport i couldnt disagree with u more i admit i used to say the same thing before i started cheerleading b.c i used to be a gymnast i have seen more cheerleaders break their noses or an ankle this year then i have football players i do cheerin competativly and am goin to world championships in florida so if u have anything 2 say about cheerleading not bein a sport u can come and talk to me b.c i work my ass off prob more then u loser bums who r like cheerleaders r snobs wah wah and a sport has nothing to do with being popular or not i dont no where the hell u r gettin this shit from b.c a sport doesnt make u any more or less popular then u already r

If you think for one minute that cheerleading is jumping up and down and shouting then you're sadly mistaken. I'm a cheerleader and I'm an extreme athlete who trains 5 days a week. I'm a scottish cheerleader (And no scottish people do not wear blooming kilts everyday) And anyway....not all of the worlds cheerleaders are like those girls in films. I listen to rock/emo/alternative music. So yeahh. Cheerleaders are HARDCORE ATHLETES AND CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT!

Stunts, Jumps, Cheers, Tumbles(front flips, handsprings etc)
Competitions(which include travelling the world) Get my drift? ;o Next time you slag of Cheerleading, just think about what I said

cheerleading co-captain

girl who is second-best to the real cheerleading captain. usually follows the captain around, and tries to have a higher part in the squad(even though shes not much better than the rest of the team)
*but sometimes they can also be very good cheerleaders, just too wanna-bee or too much of a follower to be an actual captain.

Cheerleading

A SPORT. I admit, cheerleading just for a football team is lame and no way a sport. But All Star competitive cheerleading IS a sport. All star cheerleaders work their ass off! We're expected to be flawless. And it does take strength to lift a person while smiling like you aren't tired. It also takes a crap load of practice to perfect a whole routine. A routine in which you spend hours getting told it is not good enough. It needs to be sharper, more energetic, it needs to be perfect. And then you're sweating like there is no tomorrow. And you have to twist your body in a way it should not be twisted! And you have to spend hours and hours of your day in the gym working on tumbling, which leaves you sore for weeks. So this IS a sport, you losers. You wouldn't last a freakin' minute on my team without wanting to run out crying 'cause it's too hard.

i get it alll the "non comformist" think all the same thing, which in turn makes you a conformist but anyways, cheerleaders arent sluts well some of them are but not because theyre cheerleaders.and it is a sport. im a competive cheerleader and it is probably the most intence 3 minutes of my life everytime i go out on that ugly blue carpet and for those who think all they do is making scaring facials and flip. getting my roundoff back handspring back tuck took me since i was 11 dont tell me thats not a sport.
