A name of slavic/soviet origin, usually translated in English as Steve. This person can be book and street smart but does incredibly stupid things anyway. Doesn't show any particular interest in serious matters and seems to be in his own world for most of the time but still is a nice guy.

Friend: Hey Styopa, did you see on TV that terrible car accident on the freeway.
Styopa: Yeah it was pretty cool.
