A contraction of the definition "exoplanetary economy", denoting a future economic entity as well as a financial system used by space-faring contingents of humanity who are expected to colonize our Solar System. By extension, also used for referring to economic entities and activities by alien cultures from deep space.
The resource-based exoconomy that will be established by human settlements in the Asteroid Belt is expected to rapidly outpace Earth's economic growth.

Originally coined by John Michael Godier. This is a belt of automobiles left in solar orbit of the star, put there by alien billionaires -exomusks- looking to energize their civilizations to explore space.
The galaxy could be teeming with exomusk belts, but nobody is looking for them. Even though we have an exomusk of our own, and he's actively building just such a belt.
