Autism

Autism, more correctly referred to in the DSM 5 as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental disorder characterized by many different symptoms, hence why it is called a spectrum. Many autistic people are high functioning, and don't obsess over trains. Some of the most common symptoms include:
- Lack of social awareness
- Sensory/overstimulation
- Hyperfixation
- Trouble making or keeping eye contact
- Unusual tone when speaking
"Are you autistic?"
"Please don't ask people if they have autism."
"I'm sorry."

Often used by those who are high in status and want to contrast their success with some form of hardship in order to get more credit or acclaim, or to appear as some sort of savant not affected by crass social movements, social contagion, or faddish popular opinions
