A term used by incels and the like to denigrate men who don’t live up to a 1950s ideal of manhood. A ‘simp’ is typically a male who displays any emotion toward a female, or generally treats a female with respect such as through spending quality time with them instead of being at the pub, doing a share of household chores, or any other traits viewed as submissive. This challenges the incel’s world view that men must be the dominant, emotionless force in a relationship, and women are little more than reproductive organs on legs.
