A fan of a certain thing who will tolerate no criticism of that thing. Most often associated with "nerdy" subjects, especially the video gaming community. Most people are likely to encounter fanboys over the Internet, as the veil of anonymity allows the fanboy to be as aggressive and arrogant as he likes without the possibility of reprisals.

Ordinary, well-adjusted game player: "Good game everyone."

Hulking, stinking, fast-food loving arrogant fanboy: "OMFG YOUR A NOOB LOL I COULD KICK UR ASS UR MOM (etc.)"

Fandom

A conglomeration of fans and enthusiasts of a certain TV show, book, movie, anime or comic book which includes fanfiction writers and people posting on forums about the characters in the piece of fiction. While this is mostly harmless, some fandoms can become quite annoying or exaggerate the quality of the piece of fiction. This is where they cross into fan wanking and becoming fan boys. The most annoying fandoms nowadays are usually anime fandoms and the most annoying are Dragonball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Type-Moon, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Dragonball, while it is a good anime, has some of the most annoying fans around that always brags about that old meme "It's over 9,000" and Evangelion fans once threatened the producers of the show with death threats.

The opposite of PS3 Fanboy. A Bizarro PS3 Fanboy is ugly, stupid and more angrier to 360 and Wii Fanboys. And a Bizzaro PS3 Fanboy is also part of the Final Fantasy VII Fanboy family that won't shut up about how the game pwns everybody and everything in the entire gaming world with just FF7 characters like a fat nerdy rabid FF7 Fanboy.

360 Fanboy: "You know what's worse than a regular PS3 Fanboy?"

PS3 Fanboy: "Yeah yeah I know! A bizarro PS3 fanboy! They're a disgrace to us PS3 fanboys and a lot worse than you 360 fanboys!"
