Heat Check Time

in the sport of basketball, whenever a player makes 3 consecutive baskets from down town (3 3pointers) he/she has entered what is known as Heat Check Time. Heat Check Time entitles that specific player to the right of shooting the ball from anywhere and not be called a ball hog.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND: Connected to the idiom regarding individuals that serve hard time in prison for host of reasons, whether from armed robbery to first degree murder.

A hard-time ho is a woman that is relegated to a specific station (such as being a mother, stripper, etc) that resulted from a multitude of skanky and whorish behavior. Such as having more than one ONS that produced more than one child, not knowing who your baby daddy is, or marrying someone under false pretenses.

Elizabeth Webber, a character on General Hospital, is a hard-time ho. It is no wonder she looks older than the current Lucky Spencer.

A Time Vampire (person who sucks up all your time) who calls you at home from their mobile phone while driving. The Drive Time Vampire caller has nothing important to say, and just wants something to do while driving, but they end up keeping you on the phone forever, so you can’t get anything done at home.

I was trying to get some work done at home when a Drive Time Vampire kept me on the phone for his entire two hour commute to work.
