A British actor and dancer who was raised by a single mother. He is best known for starring in the British drama movie, Billy Elliot, which earned him many awards.

He has also been in many movies such as: King Kong, Nicholas Nickleby, Deathwatch, Flags of Our Fathers, Jumper, Defiance, The Chumscrubber, Dear Wendy, and Hallam Foe.

He also was in Green Day's Wake Me Up When September Ends music video with Evan Rachel Wood.
