a word that people who knew nothing about nirvana (the ones with only nevermind and all they listen to is smells like teen spirit) labeled them although in interviews they said they did not think of themselves as grunge. the true "grungers" didnt think of themslelves as grunge either. just a label. they called themselves punk. hard to believe huh

grunger

A person who listens to grunge music. See also mosher, rocker, head banger. The style is influenced by grungers such as Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder. I myself am a grunger. But I cut off my hair recently, can't wait till' it grows back. Anyway, a few examples of grunge bands are Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Collective Soul(in the early years), Smashing Pumpkins, and quite a few others that I can't think of now. Grungers can be exlusive but are typicaly friends with anyone who accepts them. Chavs, do not like grungers. Grunger, don't give a flying rat's ass.

Chav 1- Oi i gunger innit!!
Chav 2- stupid grunger he aintz gotz nah blingy ha
Grunger- *walks by not giving a damn*

dunno don't care as i'm a metalhead nd ouv metal just pointin out that a new wave of townies r out called chavs this is a term that exists in the south-east of england nd is spreadin. also grungers nd emo-rockers r now fightin alot but the thing is that everyone else to a chav is a grunger, if ur a goth, metalhead, skater, emo, or a punk they just call u a grunger leadin to u havin 2 beat so sence into they small brains
