Malta

A based island country off the coast of Italy that has some of the strongest human rights laws in the world not to mention beautiful sights, easy accessible transportation, a large English speaking population, and incredibly strong defenses in case of an invasion. It's also so easy to become a citizen there that for a while it was the go-to place for multi-national criminals to go to get a passport. If you are looking for a place to chill while the world goes to absolute crap, go to Malta. You won't regret it.

Introduction
In 1820, a Danish scientist named Hans Christian Oersted accidentally discovered a relationship between electricity and magnetism while he was experimenting with electrical currents. Oersted made this discovery while he was attempting to show friends, family, and students how he could heat a wire with an electrical current. While conducting this experiment, he also had a compass nearby. Each time Oersted completed the circuit for his demonstration, he noticed that the needle of the compass moved. You may know that a compass works because it has a magnet in it to make it always point north. When Oersted connected his wire to a battery, the magnetized needle in the compass felt the magnetic force of the circuit. Oersted had discovered that a magnetic field was produced by electricity moving through a wire.
