The term schmitt faced comes from professional football player Owen Schmitt's traditional of slamming his helmet into his face to pump himself up for the game. A local apparel company (Jacknut Apparel) termed his traditional as "Get Schmitt Faced" and slapped it onto a t-shirt to honor Schmitts tradition and to pump Seahawk funs up for the game, drinking, and Owen Schmitt.
