Bum Rot

Bum Rot is any form of disease, illness or ailment which originates or directly affects the Anal region at any point of the ailment.

The term was first coined after Freddie Mercury states in the film Bohemian Rhapsody “I’ve got it boys” to which the response from the original coiners of the term responder “The Bum Rot”

bum blanket

The scratchy, super low quality grey wool blankets that are passed out to the homeless at shelters and food banks. Some of them look like they've been puked on because of these random colored threads woven throughout the blanket. These ones can also be called barf blankets.

My homie Les, who just recently got housing, used bum blankets as decoration on the walls of his new tiny home. Others who are less fortunate than my homie Les have been known to repurpose bum blankets as a urinal or toilet when appropriate.

Chutney bum

When you haven't quite soiled yourself, but everytime you walk, you feel as though someone has spread chutney lightly on the inner garments of your underwear.

(Not to be confused with bum chutney.)

*Farts* "Uh oh"
Friend: "have you just farted and followed through?"
Victim: It might not be that severe. I think I've just got "chutney bum."

on the bum

Just relaxing, associated with homeless people with not much to do. A bit like a beach bum, hanging around in and out of bars.

I read the quote in a Jack Kerouac book, 'Piers Of The Homeless Night' 'And since I'm well and on the bum again & ain't got nothing else to do, but roam, long-faced, the real America....' and thought I'd check if there was a meaning on here but now I've read the section again I get what it means even more!

'Hey man, how's your day been?'

'well since I lost my job, I haven't had much to do. Been on the bum a lot'
