yossarian

The protagonist of Joesepth Heller's novel Catch-22. He was a bombardier in a squadron based out of a small, semi-fictional island south of Italy. He was concearned with leaving the war alive from which he could not be dismissed, and could never finish the number of required missions. He believed that all of the other men were crazy, as they seemed not only unconcearned with death, but also generally acted neurotic, and everyone thought he was crazy in turn. Yossarian was one of the few of the characters in the novel to actually survive.

The new yasss. Yes, Yasss, and Yiss have all been used and worn out. Yosss was a potential candidate for replacing yasss, but sounded to generically European. Yusss, on the other hand, has a strong, bellowing American ring. It sounds like freedom.

Yussy

When pulling yarn while knitting or crocheting from the middle of a skein, an openning is formed in the center, thereby creating the Yussy.

I enjoy crocheting amigurumi animals for my nephew and I always make sure to pull my yarn from the yussy.

RUNNING WILD WITH RON YUSHACK

Last of the great NYC public access TV comedians who fell on hard times, became homeless, and went literally "running wild" in the streets. Was also at the time a gopher for Local TV legend Joe Franklin. Ron Yushack eventually ended up in Bellevue Hospital, and soon afterwards disappeared into the cold, gritty wilderness of madness, and obscurity. <BR>
Where is Ron Yushack?

That TV producer's gonna end up pulling a "Yushack" if he don't get a job a pay his rent. Look at him. He's "running wild"!
