The sound made when snow becomes unstable and compresses in an instant. It requires conditions where heavier snow has fallen on top on top of much lighter less condensed snow below. The surface area of usually 40+ square feet can compress down and pack the snow below causing the air out and producing an eerie sound.

As I was snowshoeing through some very deep snow, I saw and heard a woompheg.

Woopastang

The pinnacle of male bonding. When one member of the male community insinuates brotherhood by displaying a lowset open palm whilst proclaiming the word woopastang. A second member of the stang will then perform a swift downward motion to connect his open palm with the first male. A reference to a wild animal usually follows this action.

A woomph can be heard during the act of sexual intercourse. The woomph is so called due to the noise made when the penis expels compressed air from the vaginal chasm during and sometimes after penetrative sexual intercourse.

A woomph can also be referred to as the act of intercourse itself.

The woomph can be illustrated by clasping cupped palms together and forcing out air causing a vacuum situation, thus creating a one-man woomph.If you were to continually repeat this process you would literally be woomphing yourself.

The letter o in woomph can be extended to extenuate the noise or length produced. e.g Did you hear that wooooomph I just done honey?
