parking vulture

Anyone who waits, at the mall during the holidays, near college campus parking at class change, etc. for a parking space to open up. Person usually circles a specific area like a vulture, sometimes following people walking to their cars.

There were 3 parking vultures perched up on top of the parking garage when I got off the elevator to walk down to my ride. Two of them fought it out as I left.

Stog Vulture

A carnivorous cigarette fiend who circles around and raids dirty ashtrays; smoking every reminent cigarette down to the bare filter. They hover by outdoor ashtrays hoping someone leaves a morsel of a stog for their smoking pleasure. This person has no fear of herpes or any lip born disease. They will vulture any cigarette regardless of brand, type, or cleanliness.

Dirty Barry waited anxiously on top of the building for his moment. Poor Nancy became his prey. Nancy put out her cigarette at the waste recepticle where Barry was lurking. Barry then swooped in, attacked the used Kool Light, smoking it to the bone. Nancy looked at Barry in disgust and said "You Dirty Stog Vulture". Nancy did have the last laugh as she forget to apply her Valtrex(1) that day.

Them Crooked Vultures

Them Crooked Vultures is a recently formed rock 'n roll supergroup that consists of Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Probot, etc.), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss) doing drums, bass, and vocals/guitar respectively. Alain Joannes is also a rhythm guitarist for touring. Them Crooked Vultures first played live August 9th, 2009, at Chicago, and performed in more locations for the rest of the month.

Their eponymous debut album will be released November 17th, 2009. It has been described as bluesy, a little funky, and just plain original.

According to a recent interview with Grohl, the idea came when he was celebrating his birthday at a reserved bar with a medieval theme. He asked Homme and then they asked JPJ. It seemed that no one was busy or binded to anything else, so the band was made. An official tour was announced for October and December on September 1st. It includes North America and the UK. Tickets for the tour were sold out within minutes in the UK, and more locations for the tour include Germany.

This is probably one of the best things that happened in the first decade of the 21st century, and will certainly end this decade with a bang.

Turkey Vulture

Older women who prey on younger men are referred to as a cougar. Cougars over 65 years of age are Turkey Vultures. Much like cougars, they prey on the inebriated and sopht minded.

He was so drunk at the bar last night a Turkey Vulture got him.
