perpetual laziness

a rare disease which makes completing even simple tasks difficult, often prevalent within students, teenagers, and adults in the workplace. Can be genetically inherited. Chances of contracting perpetual laziness is much higher when large amounts of homework is assigned, due dates for projects are listed, or any amount of work involving physical or mental labor is involved.

Mr. Teacher: "Did you finish your book report like I told you?"
Andy: "Naw teach, I contracted a severe bout of perpetual laziness over the weekend."
Mr. Teacher: "Oh my, completely understandable. I'll give you another week."

Term used when one acts or speaks in a way not true to character in order to decice or bamboozle others .

April: hey Jen have you met my new boyfriend Jim?. He's the one helping that old cross the street
Jen: Omg girl you're dating Jim? I just seen him last night at the bar he totally took home a Hooker
April: no way he's so dashing and debonair ... look there he goes rescuing a kitten from a tree
Jen: no girl he's just perpetrating the fraud!

Jon: dude look at that hot chick over there with the nice rack, she looks so smart reading that big novel
Jim: i knew her in high-school she wears those stick on boobs and that book she's reading is upside down LMAO
Jon: damn if she ain't perpetrating the fraud!

perley

To be perley is to synonomize the definitions of the words "spotless" and "attractive", implying wide desiration among the opposite sex. More of a ebonical term than anything, the word perley has garnered most of its usage from the black community.

I.e. so we went to the bar and my buddy matt was so perley with the girls, he didn't have to buy a drink all night.
I.e. that guys perlier than brad pitt in a room full of single women.

Perpetual Positivity Syndrome

A term coined by author Jeff Brown, PPS (Perpetual Positivity Syndrome) is one of the most common obstructions to awakening on the healing path. Defined as ‘the addictive need to default to positivity under any and all circumstances’, it prevents a maturation in the deep within because sufferers refuse to be present for all that is. Symptoms include a constant need to find the light in every situation, a tendency to forget or ‘rise above’ the negative aspects of their partners, an inability to fully support and hold the space for other’s suffering, and a turning away from the growth work demanded by life's challenges. Instead of forging a grounded, discerning positivity in the heart of all that is, they jump to the light, while averting the shadows that inform it. They reactively bliss-trip, when lessons are waiting in the wings to be learned. Those who suffer with PPS are often of the illusory view that they had perfect childhoods or that they have moved beyond the shadow, but they are sadly mistaken. If anything, their obsessive clinging to the ‘positive’ is rooted in their unresolved emotional material: pain and anger that will only come back to haunt them. At the end of the day (when the darkness settles in…), there can be no light without shadow. And no substitute for hard-earned transformation.

I eventually owned that I had Perpetual Positivity Syndrome, and I finally began to heal and grow.

self-perpetuating ignorance

A phrase used to describe the blind beliefs of any institution or state where someone is told to believe something without evidence or reason and where that ignorance is then passed on to others (because they believe the lies they have been told) and becomes self-perpetuating.

'Nationalism is a form of self-perpetuating ignorance where we are taught to hate the 'other' or outside group.'

'No you cannot convert me to your religion, I have no desire to be a part of your cult's self-perpetuating ignorance.'
