Origin is from Senator Joe Lieberman trying to sway voters to re-elect him again after lying and being a corporate, war-loving whore.

Bush is doing so horribly in the polls that he is likely to Pull a Lieberman to help the Republicans regain the public's trust.

to repeatedly ruin everything at the last minute with conflicting and hypocritical excuses

Yesterday Steve said that he wanted to have our big Scrabble tournament at Sally's house, now right before we are about to start he said that he won't come just because it is a Sally's house! This is like the fifth time he has canceled on us at the last minute with a knuckle-headed excuse, and now it seems we'll never have our big Scrabble tournament.
