tres leché

Originates in Mexico. A cake that consists of three milks;evaporated milk, condensed milk, and either whole milk or cream. When created, it has a very spongy texture. Holes are poked on top of the cake and the milks are poured over to be absorbed, giving it that smooth texture. And although soaked in milk, it does not have a soggy consistency. Rum or rum extract can be added to be absorbed.
Tres leché is the greatest dessert. I guess I just have a sweet tooth for the little pockets of Mexico.
