interdictum

Noun, origin: Latin. Informally, a writ, decree or pronouncement by someone or some entity to another, to a group or to people generally - to a) do something, or b) abide by some rule or c) refrain from doing something, taboo/forbidden or d) formally require/ not require something. It is implied generally for strong or strict adherence; but may also sarcastically imply issuer pomposity when used in an informal setting.

The school principal issued the interdictum over the intercom that school bullying would not be tolerated and anyone in violation of that would be required to perform community service around the school grounds.
