When a band becomes popular enough that a large group of people recognizes it's name. You shouldn't have to explain who this band is when talking to a friend.

Friend 1: Hey, ever heard of Green Day?
Friend 2: Of course, their a household name.

A household/family which is dominated by a disproportionate ratio of females to males. Based on Austen's Pride and Prejudice, in which the Bennett family comprises the father, the mother, and four daughters.

Jenny: My dad's such a controlling dick!
Xander: Tschh, put him in his place - remind him it's a Bennett household.

Ingredient household

A household that has no ready to eat food/snacks.
In order to have something to eat you have to cook/prepare it.
Also: most of the ingredients are random and don’t go together.
EXAMPLE:

*Ingredient household*
—> pickles, Nutella, mustard, crackers
*regular household*
Leftovers, frozen pizza, yogurt, chips, sandwich stuff

Growing up in an ingredient household, I always had the most random meals.

horseheads

well a town who originally got its name for cutting the heads off of horses, but now it takes on a new name, whores-heads....well you will notice most girls in this town are willing to put out and will do it for anyone. I mean if you live in elmira you just go for some fun right down the road to horseheads and get some.

horseheads' girls really put out, certainly those cheerleaders.
