Dick Gazing

Spending time on one's iPhone texting, browsing, playing games, etc. Dick gazing often occurrs during social gatherings and is usually identified by someone who does not own an iPhone, often out of jealousy. Sometimes abbreviated as "gazin."

"Can you idiots quit dick gazing and hand me another beer?"
"Shut up bro, it's my move in chess and I need to check the snow report. If your broke-ass had an iPhone you would understand."

The practice of quipping faux-intellectual droppings, ideally on Twitter by influential tech people. Utterances should have a healthy mix of sociology, anthropology, technology, and why yes, cryptocurrency bullshit. It is named after a certain venture capitalist.

A slang term describing the act of taking a long period to think about one's thoughts & feelings, or focus on one specific topic.

Essentially, thinking really deeply and seriously about something, including yourself or others.

Shaun was so busy navel-gazing about the meaning of life that he didn't notice that the bus passed his stop.

Naval Gazing

Noun: The semi-stupefied state that a boat owner falls into when the weather is sunny and the seas are calm, but they are stuck at work. Often, this state is punctuated by staring longingly out the nearest ocean-facing window. May also be seen in surfers stuck work while the waves are breaking.

Man, did you see Joe? He just got a new speedboat and was naval gazing all afternoon. I felt badly for the guy when the weather blew in.

Generally. any device that goes into any other device. An electric plug goes into a wall outlet, a light bulb goes into a socket. The plug and the light bulb are gazintas.
