A word used by douche-y play-by-play announcers (introduced during the 2013-2014 season) to describe the area outside the three point line in basketball because -- apparently -- the term "three-point" shot just wasn't douche-y enough.

"Layman is 2 for 7 from the bonusphere today -- not one of his better days."
