"Memephilia" or "Fred's Syndrome" describe the pathologically
obsessive hoarding of memes. The disorder is named
after the famous 21st century Empress of Memes Fred E Mercury who is reputed to have accumulated 48 terabytes of memes in her lifetime. A spokesperson from the Royal
Australian Society of Memeology said that the dumping of Fred E's memes at the time of her abdication from the throne is reported to have slowed internet traffic globally for an hour. The spokesperson announced that 400 metre high statues would be unveiled in Meme Square in Moscow (formerly Red Square) and in Beijing (formerly Tiananmen Square) in honour of the Empress
