Her characters have suffered from with cancer, diabetes, organ failure, and the deaths of loved ones through disease or suicide.She first started writing books about stuff like this when Her son Sean was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at age 3.Many people across north america are in love with her books.I would only reccomend reading them if you aren't afraid to have a good cry while reading
