A band that has almost all of their songs about love then the distruction, hate, and all around problems that come with it. This band is HIM a great band and it has created representation of this with a heartagram.

Heartagram

the heartagram is the sign of the great band HIM, the design itself came from ville playing round with the logo of an independent hospital chain in finland, the thing ended out as a penta-hearta thang and then it was tweaked a bit to make the heartagram, although it wasnt until later in the bands life that it was realised that there needed to be a circle round it like with a pentagram

a Heartagram is a symbol made up by the band HIM which is a mix between a pentagram (Notice pentAgram, not pentOgram) and a heart.

The symbol was then stolen by the second biggest douche (the first being John Edwards) in the universe, Bam Margera.

Heartagram

Ok I love how all you idiots argue over what this sign is when none of of you are right. The sign was created by Ville Valo (lead singer of H.I.M) on his twentieth birthday. Described by Valo, the sign is a modern yin/yang, like good and evil together. Now, about Bam Margera. He loves the band and is good friends with Ville, so he got a few tattoos of heartagrams. Then he started using it as his "sign" and selling products with it on it. After he started making money off of it, he needed a licence on it. But, he didn't invent it. So, TOGETHER, Bam and Valo got a license/trademark on it. It belongs to both of them, so no need to argue anymore.

Ville Valo and Bam Margera have a joint license on the heartagram.
