A delightful mixture of "frighten", "startle" and "fondle"; usually used when a person is startled in close proximity.

This term is generally used when the mixture is male and female and likely within an office/professional setting.

Male turns a blind corner and stops suddenly to not run into female co-worker/supervisor/landlord: "Whoa! Go ahead! Didn't want to froddle you!"
