Exubalashton

Noun
Ex-U-Ball-Ash-Ton

The feeling that one gets when they realize that they're extremely and perhaps actually unordinarily good at a particular thing or skill. This is followed by the second realization and feeling that that particular thing or skill is totally useless in everyday life, and probably isn't as neat as one originally thought.

Exubalashton is the term for when both feelings happen in succession, the second after the first. Or in some cases, can be used to refer only to the second.

Example of the feeling of Exubalashton

Man thinking to himself: Hey! I can close my front door by flinging my shoe off the wall and into it, and still not damage my wall! That's pretty cool! ... On second thought ... no it isn't.
