a game which uses replicas of real guns that shoot small brass or plastic ball bearings (BBs). this game is just as good as paintball. paintball are for those who like just being able to shoot people and run around avoiding paintballs the size of nickels, airsoft is for those who like MilSim and using realistic guns. arisoft i usually played by older people, and paintball is usually played by younger people, although this does not imply that airsoft players are more responsible (i went paintballing once and some guy that looked like he was 20-30 years old took off his mask in the middle of the game cuz he got hit)

1. Playing with a gun that does not have a lot of attachments, such as grenade launchers, lasers, flash lights, scopes, etc.
2. Using "real cap" magazines. Many airsoft gun magazines can hold between 300-450 rounds. These are know as hi caps. A real cap magazine has the number of rounds the actual gun it uses. Ex. M16 holds 30 rounds, MP40 has 32 rounds, M1911 has 7+1.
3. (Most common attribute) They often like to correct others on how they should play airsoft. i.e. telling others to use "real caps" and removing some attachments from ones gun.
This is a behavior of an airsoft NAZI, not a Mil Simer. Mil simers are not out to ruin it for other players. Airsoft Nazi's often get into arguements with other players as to how they should play.

The arguments on the internet are very heated and fanboys are pretty much the entire population on both sides. Contrary to popular belief, paintball is not simply getting an ultra bright suit, and running around, there is such thing as woodsball, which is just as tactical as any airsoft game. Another common misconception is that airsoft guns are for fags who aren't manly enough to join the military. In reality, many veterans or current military servicemen play airsoft.
