Value-Added

A term used during meetings, generally to sound slick and cutting edge. Means exactly the same thing as "adding value," which itself is redundant because any work project is supposed to add value.

Employee #1: By doing this project we will provide value-added
Employee #2: You mean we'll add value?
Employee #1: You obviously can't keep up with the high energy world of business.

Hym "Yeah, hi, hello I added you to the thing that people are doing. There are several guys and girls (who do what you do) who are doing that thing. It's hard to keep track of whether or not I'm insane so every once and a while I have to add new people to the thing to see if they start doing them thing. So... Yeah, hi. We don't have like a gift basket..."

Iam "Oh! We should do a gift basket! That would be good. I like that. With some soaps and like a candle or something... That would be dope!"

Hym "You know and I know that we don't have any money for gift baskets."

Iam "Yeah... Well, put that one on the back-burner then. I donno..."

In Urban Dictionary you rarely come across a definition for a word without a cuss word. Personally I believe after the first couple no cuss word definitions the people that work adding definitions say 'fuck this imma add this one it has a cuss word'.
