:D is a word you can use to express when you are happy or excited. :D does have a history behind it besides being used to express your happiness.
Its also used by a fellow person named: Zappa.
Zappa was the initial creator of this face as he keeps using it at the end of every sentence he types.
He got attached to it so much to the point where he became the CEO of it and its also known as his signature face.
