garage rock (2000s)

garage rock of the 2000s. Labeled by the media as garage rock revival for it gaining mainstream interest again. but there have been different revivals in garage rock going threw the 50s,60s,70s. Starting around 2000 to 2001. Bands like the strokes,the white stripes,the hives and the vines are the first four bands to get mainstream success. This sound is on the alt-rock side of things so with there success they thankfully kicked nu-metal off the alt-rock stations. Also imo along with post-punk revival the best rock genres of the 2000s.

j-pop/rock

A genre of Japanese (hence the "J") music that incorporates characteristics of both J-rock and J-pop. Similar to "Pop Rock" in that the music emphasizes lyrics, has a catchy melody, but has guitar-driven music. It often, but not always, covers less "bubble gum" topics in favor of more sophisticated, socially influenced topics.

J-pop/rock is an alternative genre that encompases features of both J-Rock and J-Pop.

Glam Rock Panda

The Glam Rock Panda is a rare breed of the Chinese marsupial, dwelling in the alleyways of China's harems and bar streets. They are normally six feet tall, covered from head to toe in neon green dyed fur, and wear what drunken onlookers have described as "shitloads of makeup". They are, without a doubt, the ninth wonder of the world, and should be given utmost respect and appreciation. The mating call sounds very similar to that of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

Round Rock, Texas

Round Rock is a city in Travis and Williamson counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the Austin–Round Rock–San Marcos metropolitan area. The 2009 census estimate places the population at 105,412. Located about 20 miles (32 km) north of downtown Austin, Round Rock shares a common border with Austin at SH 45.
