Get the Itis mug.From the Italian soup: Pasta e fagioli; and pronounced as Fag-ee-oh-lee-itis. After visiting a restaurant claiming to be authentically Italian, the waitress claimed she was the owners daughter and offered us the soup of the day. She pronounced it as Pasta Fag-ee-oh-lee. This prompted the term Fagioli-itis. It means a person that is full of crap, pretending to be something other than one’s true self, or someone being dishonest or misleading with a lie so full of mistakes that the ruse is given away immediately, with the the guilty party being completely unaware.
My mom claims to be 37 years old, but everyone here just attended my 50th birthday. I believe she has a case of fagioli-itis
