Well Smithy, this is a cool nickname for that one guy who is sometimes funny, sometimes annoying but is just that all around guy. Some people don't like him some people do. He is quite smart but once again sometimes annoying. Once you find a Smithy you'll probably want to let him go but when you do you will definitely want him back.
