A feminist is a person, no matter gender, who wants equality between men and women. Easy as that. Those people who pretend that it means that a feminist wants women to rule over men and feminists says men are trash are just uneducated assholes, and generally most often men who are afraid of loosing their contemporary dominion. All the lookups that are telling that lies was probably posted on the wrong site. They fit better in Urban Dicktionary and has one only purpose: to making you throw shit at feminists because of your ignorance.

They want to end gender stereotypes and gender roles. They want to stop sexism and misogyny. Sure we have equal rights an all but some people need to get that in their heads. Saying that men are better then women and not expecting a women to get mad or disagree is just a bad thought on your part.
