The period of time after you have given notice of resignation from a job before you actually leave. When you don't care about the work you are doing anymore or the general welfare of the business or the staff.

This can also be apply to someone who doesn't care about their job anymore and is about to quit.

Example: Hey Bob have you got those reports ready for Monday? Naah, I'm totally checked out.

Vibe Check

A vibe check is a phrase said before checking someone’s vibe. Checking a vibe involves making strong physical contact with someone else using either fists (not necessarily your own) or another blunt object.

A vibe check is failed if the victim expresses signs of pain or discomfort at the vibe check. If the check is failed, the victim must be eliminated.

Tim: “Vibe check!”
Chad: “Huh?”
Tim: *Punches Chad in the stomach*
Chad: “Ow! Dude, what the hell?”
Tim: “Dang man, you failed the vibe check, i’ll have to eliminate you.”

ALTERNATIVELY:

Tim: “Vibe check!”
Chad: “Huh?”
Tim: *Hits Chad over the head with a lamp*
Chad: “Oh thanks man, wasn’t sure if i was vibing or not.”
Tim: “No prob bro, of course you’re vibing, just had to check.”

The Check Point Paradox

When playing a video game that uses checkpoints instead of normal saves, you pass the check point before a boss or tough group of monsters, with your character's health less than 25%. The monsters promptly destroy your character making you re-spawn at the last check point with still minimal health and no way to turn back without starting a new save or finding a glitch. This happens to many gamers and causes frustration about the inability to advance further into the storyline.

AKA Shower Shark or Peter Gazer
