These people are miserable in their own mind so they project their negativeness on others by arguing and complaining about everything. They try to bring people with positive attitudes into their dark world of anxiety and worry. Anger is the primary cause which is the root of all evil. They won't be happy until their anger and mean things they say spills onto others causing others to be unhappy just like they are.
