Double Surfing

The practice of surfing the Internet while channel surfing (watching TV).

"I was Double Surfing Lost to try and figure out what other shows the actors appear in."

Generally falls under 3 categories:
1. TV as background or as fallback entertainment during long, computer-slowing downloads

2. Engaging in social networking or micro-blogging (Facebook, Twitter) while watching a specific program
3. Augmenting the tv viewing experience by researching aspects of a show. This practice is deliberately catered to by many programs in order to affect a sense of interactivity

Jane enjoys alley surfing, especially when she finds scrap copper and other metals that can be sold and recycled. She is helping the environment.

Stone In the Surf

This is the term given to the people who dont continue the wave at a hockey game, concert etc.

Fortunately, the wave usually continues around them, but if there are a few in the same row, the wave may be destroyed.

"So me and Bob were at the game, and our friend Todd Peppers decided it would be funny to be a Stone In the Surf and consequently destroyed the wave we had going on"
