okay

the only acceptable way to say "OK/ok". while "okay" looks pretty, the other spelling variations of the word look dumb. however, if "Ok/ok" is part of a phrase that is culture-relevant, it is alright to use.
Person 1: Ok, no problem.
Person 2: ew why'd you use "ok" instead of "okay"?
Person 1: It takes less time to time
Person 2: ok boomer

okay amanda

During the Black Lives Matter movement, Amandas have attempted to make their voices heard in a big way. They are white and are Millenials. They drink craft beer and have hipster boyfriends. They wear t-shirts that say "fuck racism" and they march in BLM rallies with their friends, then they comment on social media posts and speak defiantly for the black community, when they've lived their whole lives in the burbs and have never even driven past an urban housing project. They get into countless arguments on the subject of race, yet they have no possible way of relating to the plight of black people. An Amanda just wants you to know that all white people are racists if they do not agree with everything she says, even though when asked to define "racist," she draws a blank.
Amanda:"But people of color think..."

oh okay

Expression of surprise, happiness, disappointment, or sadness (oh) in conjunction with "okay" (either earnestly or jokingly saying something is acceptable).

Usually follows a question with an unexpected (or expected but undesired) answer that the asker doesn't know how to respond to.
Asker: What did I miss in class yesterday?
Asked: Nothing, it was canceled.
Asker: Oh? Okay! (surprised + happy, actually okay)

Asker: Hey, you wanna hang out some time?
Asked: Why'd you think I'd wanna hang with you?
Asker: Oh... okay. (surprised + disappointed, not okay)

Asker: Hey, I heard you were under the weather yesterday. You feeling better?
Asked: Nah, I'm still feeling sick.
Asker: Oh, okay. (sad + not surprised, not okay)

Me: I need punctuation between the words for emphasis
Urban Dictionary: "Examples should include the word being defined"
Me: "oh okay"
