Hardcore Punk is a subgenre of Punk Rock which originated in North America in the late 70's. The sound is thicker, heavier, and faster than 1970s-style Punk Rock. It is characterized by short, loud, and passionate songs.
It was call Punk at first and not Punk Rock as classic Punk was called. In the ealy 80's it was called Hardcore Punk
Hardcore Punk started in L.A with the band Black Flag and in D.C with the band Minor Threat and Bad Brains; which are the big three bands of early Hardcore Punk.
In the 90's heavy metal bands tried to get into Hardcore with out being Punk. Which is not Hardcore at all. The Hardcore movent and sound is still Punk and always will be. Metalcore is metal music not Hardcore Punk. There is still Harcore Punk bands around today, and that are not metal bands claiming to be Hardcore with out being Punk. A few of them are,
The Casualties
Cheap Sex
Devotchka
Dropkick Murphys
Lower Class Brats
No Use For A Name
Pennywise
Rise Against
Suicide Machines
The Unseen
And more.

A style of dress that adopts the iconoclastic auti-authoritism of punk but instead of transgressing social norms by dressing in red and black, dresses ostentatiously flamboyant---often with lots of colors, rainbows, or overall absurdity.

A Greaser Punk is a Punk that dresses like a Greaser with jeans and or Dickie's, rolled up selves and pants. Who might be into hot rods as 50's greasers were. With hair combed back with various oils, "greased" back. This person might wear punk band t-shirt and punk wrist bands (bracelet) and other punk ant-fashion.
Guy 1. That guy drives a hot rod and dress like a Greaser yet he wears Punk band t-shirt, like, The Ramones and Dead Kennedys.
Guy 2. He must be a Greaser Punk.

Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo are the robo-gods of French house. They are:
1. Awesome
2. Robots, hot robots.
Despite becoming rather popular, they haven't let their fame rob them of talent. Made the famous songs Da Funk, Around the World, and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Only a fool wouldn't like them.
