Major Kusanagi

Meaning "Ballsey", gutsy, bad-ass or fearless it is a reference to Major Motoko Kusanagi who is a character in the Ghost in the Shell anime and manga series who shares many of these traits. Generally used among surfers, trail bikers, skaters and other extreme sports enthusiasts.

When people (family members, older friends, old people in general) talk crap about the major you choose in college.

Ex. #1- You're an English major! You'll never get a job with that!
Ex. #2- You're an Education major, you won't make any money in that field.
Ex. #3- We all know Liberal arts majors aren't going anywhere.

Person 1- You aren't gonna get a job with that major.
Person 2- wow that's major shaming.
