A person who uses scientific knowledge to solve practical problems, and is felt to be socially inept. This person can also portray symptoms of a large ego, knowledge of too many keyboard shortcuts, and overall addiction to his/her computer. Most are in denial of their 'enginerdiness'.

They deal with any device applied in the medical world and work on advancing technologies such as tissue engineering (the growing of artificial human tissue for implantation on other humans.)Basically, heroes in the modern world.

The state of having incredible amounts of seemingly unrelated technical items on a desk, out of which only the owner can make sense. Such items usually include circuit boards, drafting diagrams, mechanical devices, power cords, and half-empty cans of soda.
