Kelly's Law of Committees

None of us are as dumb as all of us.
A counter to the older, pro-teamwork adage "None of us are as smart as all of us."
Speaks to the risk of lower-level workers' input being useless if upper management gives its own opinion first, due to the tendency of workers to fall in line once the position of the leader (who could fire them for dissent) is known.
The wording above was written on a wall at NASA's Houston complex after the Challenger disaster, as reported by astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. Although the concept has long been known of, once it took the form of an aphorism, it acquired a viral quality.
Niels Bohr and son Aage asked low-level engineer Richard Feynman their questions before asking higher-ups like Oppenheimer, partly to avoid taking up important administrators' time, but also to avoid Kelly's law of committees. Asking the higher-ups first, with lower-level workers present, would have a chilling effect on the latter's offering their own ideas and concerns.

Matrix's law

The Matrix's law works in the same way than godwin's law. Whenever an online discussion about artificial intelligence progresses, it becomes inevitable that someone or something will eventually be compared to Terminator or any movie with an evil AI.
"Have you seen the last progress of Google's deepmind ?"

"Yeah, we're one step closer from an AI revolution"

"Ah yes, the Matrix's law"

Kaplan's Law

The law that any discussion on the internet that goes in long enough will result in someone claiming that the US Civil War wasn't about slavery.
(long discussion about the BLM and Blue Lives flags and what they mean to people)
Soffy22: Well how would you feel about a confederate flag?
Merlyn2: There's so much propaganda about that, starting with how the Civil War was about States' Rights, and not slavery.
Maddox: AND THERE WE GO ... Kaplan's Law.

Karamazov's Law

How the real state of the relationship is inversely proportional to the projected state of the relationship on social media
"Mike has such a good looking life. Look at his posts, he's got the house, car, and a knock out"

"Dude, Karamazov's Law, he's half a million in debt, a alcoholic, and his wife cheats on him".
