Project Popular

Refers to any act and or mindset that that puts more emphasis on style than common sense. While 'Ghetto Fabulous' is similar, 'Project Popular' appeals to those specifically from the housing projects from which the name is derived. It could be effectively argued that being 'Project Popular' is worse than 'Ghetto Fabulous', but the recipient of the description will more than likely wear it as a badge of honor, kind of like coming home from successfully doing a jail sentence for which you did not snitch.

"Frank would regularly park his Bentley convertible in the driveway of his Section 8 home...he was beyond 'Ghetto Fabulous', he was Project Popular'"

False Popularity

False popularity is the illusion of being popular. This is when supporters do not actually believe in the person/thing they seem to be supporting. This is often caused by the supporters feeling forced or as if they have to support someone.

*Photos*on*Facebook* "LIKE AND SHARE IF YOU LOVE GOD; KEEP SCROLLING IF YOU WANT TO BURN IN HELL". This makes most people feel like they have to like and share the photo, thus making this false popularity.

ex-popular

Teenagers who were popular in elementary and middle school but are nobody's in high school. These are usually people who developed earlier than everyone else and by mid-freshman year they were nothing. Most of the time this is a girl who every guy liked in middle school because she was hotter than everyone else but when other girls came out of their awkward stages she was forgotten.

guy#1: "Dude, Erin is so hott!!"

guy#2: "Naw man, shes an ex-popular...but have you seen Carley lately...Damn!!!"

The popular kids friend

Someone asked a question once

“Why do the popular kids friends get less attention?”
Well here is the answer

The popular kids probably get more attention because they’re… popular it’s literally in the name as the popular kids friends are probably going to get replaced later on. If the popular kids friend is popular they will probably have no issue finding another friend/friend group but if they’re unpopular then this could be a challenge.
Now they could have different levels of finding friends based on how social they are

Social: easy. (Just need to be nice enough to become friends)
In between: both (they could loose some trust though).
Not social: most likely to talk to their self instead of finding new friends.

If you’re not social like me then you will probably find social media (huge mistake) and if they post anything about their feelings they are probably going to get bullied online/cyber bullied and their confidence will go down.

Also they are probably going to get used as a map and people will ask where the popular kid is every single second,every single millisecond when they are just minding their own business trying to take a break from talking.

Conversation I’ve had being the popular kids friend

Person:Hey:))
Me: oh- um hi how can I help you?
Person:do you know where popular kid is?
Me: oh uhm they’re over there…
Person: *walks away*
