Mother of all Shorts

A term first heard on Nov 2024 on the Grand Exchange, a forum of like-minded ethnically Asian virgins who share a common interest of trading worthless cryptographic assets. The term came to the creator in a dream, and is supposed to indicate a "minsky-like moment type shit".

Not only is the Moas a call to arms to sell all assets, but it is more importantly a mindset. Only the enlightened can achieve the moas. After accepting into the moas into your life, nothing will matter but the moas. Life is beautiful after.

The moas gained popularity in the coming months as cryptographic assets plummeted to levels not seen since the great bear market of 2022.

Dec 2024 to Jan 2025 is known as the Greater MOAS period.

MOAS

Noun- stands for “mother of all shorts”. It is used by traders primarily in the crypto space to refer to a grand short trade where the overall bullish trend ends and reverses. The moas is a legend to some and a philosophy to live by to others. The term was first used and popularized by a trader on twitter who goes by the handle @thiccyth0t

Lithuanian-American Small/Power forward for the bulls, grew up in Chicago. Scored a career high of 24 points in a game against the Miami Heat. A decent player for the bulls, but definitely not the next Michael Jordan. Also called “Lil Buzi” and “Young Fella” by CHSN commentator (and former bull) Stacey King. Metasocial Sciences

The study of the study of society. It's the academic equivalent of holding a mirror up to a mirror and trying to analyze the reflection. Metasocial sciences don't examine social behavior directly; they examine the theories, methods, and biases of the people who examine social behavior. It's a field where you can get a PhD for writing a paper about why other academics wrote their papers the way they did, and the ultimate goal is to achieve a state of analytical navel-gazing so pure that you forget there are actual people involved.

Example: "Her thesis in metasocial sciences was a meta-analysis of the citation patterns in papers about citation patterns. It was considered a landmark study by the three people in the world who understood it, and utterly meaningless by everyone else."

Metasocial Technologies

The tools and platforms designed to analyze, manipulate, or optimize not just social interaction, but the analysis of social interaction itself. This includes sentiment analysis algorithms that track how people feel about how other people feel, social media dashboards that measure the engagement of posts about engagement metrics, and focus groups convened to discuss the results of other focus groups. It's technology that has eaten its own tail and is now trying to figure out what the tail tastes like.
