"Flash robs" are organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral e-mails, similar to "flash mobs." News anchor: "There has been an increase in flash robs recently and the police are working hard to stop this trend."

Store owner: "Those damn kids flash-robbed me last night and stole about $1000 of merchandise in less than 60 seconds!"
