A non-ideological, pragmatic party that takes a hands-on approach to solving problems. Their policy can usually be described as socially centrist and fiscally conservative, though individual policy positions may be more nuanced. Despite certain questionable actions in the past to detain, sue and bankrupt political opponents, these efforts have been toned down somewhat in recent years with the PAP trying to appear more consultative. The PAP enjoys describing its political opponents as opportunists seeking to score political points even if they oppose the PAP on relatively logical grounds.
