A game genre where you're meant to learn weapon combos to defeat a large horde of enemies, usually in a 3d space, to progress to the next area, but everyone just mashes buttons instead of actually playing. Don't lie, you know you've never taken the time to actually learn a combo in a beat em up that has more than 2 buttons in it.
