usually listen to emo, hardcore (hXc) music. wears studded belts, 'drainpipe' jeans, converse all star "chuck taylors", dyed black hair, sometimes with blonde streak. haircut -very choppy, strangely layered, short - even girls. lots of black eyeliner, big side fringe, only showing one eye. lip pierced on one side. replaces I with 1, O with 0, E with 3, etc.

Alright, so there are some missconceptions surrounding scene. Well first off scene kids and emo kids are not the same. Emos are intraverted emotional wrecks(or at least they wish they were) whilest the scene kids are normally overly extraverted and in your face. All scene girls are bitches, or at least try to be. A scene kid is different from a scene whore. A scene whore is someone, mostly girls, who go to the local scene to pick upi guys or band members, not because they like the music. Scene girls take 687465873 pics of themselves from odd angles and in black and white with large amounts of brightness and contrast and post them on myspace. While scene boys take pics of themselves making out with other boys. Most scene kids have multicoloured hair and it is short and spikey at the back. So there you have it, the scene kid.

a group of usually annoying teenagers who love label themselves. they like to think they're original when really they all look, act, talk and think the same. they usually have short choppy hair and wear eyeliner, whether they be a boy or girl. they're all camera whores who take pictures of themselves from obnoxious angles, usually make an "uh-oh" face with their hand almost covering their mouth. they would die if they didnt have a myspace, which they spend hours on trying to make look "scene". most of them are either gay or bisexual with lip or nose rings. they love to make xanga families with people they will never meet. and they also say "like WOAH" or "rawrr." or "xcore" or "omfgz" in every single fucking sentence.

When a certain situation was epic, good, amazing, fun, etc. It is used to describe only one part of a whole event, night or time.

Ex. -Holy crap that was a good night, especially when we got free drink from the bartender, what a scene that was!
-Last night was such a time, the lineup was such a scene because those guys ahead of us were so jokes.
-That was a scene!
-What a scene! Who knew those 2 pole danced!?

People link the word scene to emo and hardcore. Emo is a genre of music not a person. And same with hxc.

People seem to like to downsize "scenesters" because they think they are defensless and weak. Not to mention that since we wear tight pants everyone has the golden ticket to call us a "fag","gay", etc.
