A Ben Shot is when a party member hears a sound in a video game that actually doesn't exist, causing confusion and panic in other party members. Some examples are footsteps and gunshots.
Player 1- Hey man there's someone behind us I can hear movement.
Player 2- OK let's sit behind here and wait it out.
Player 1- It might've been a Ben Shot, I don't hear anything anymore.
Player 2- Must be.
